This procedure applies to the State System of Community Colleges.
The System President shall promulgate procedures necessary for implementation of BP 2-25.
Pursuant to BP 2-25, the College President, in consultation with the System President and the advisory council, will establish criteria for advisory council membership as are appropriate to the institutional needs. Statutorily, the advisory council must have seven (7) members from the area in which the community and technical College is located and serves.
Where the College President, in consultation with the System President and the advisory council, determines that in addition to the seven (7) members appointed from the College’s service area, that it is appropriate to the institutional needs of the College to receive additional input from business or industry interests that may be served by the College, the College President may recommend to the System President up to two (2) additional advisory council members who represent business and industry interests that may be served by the College for Board approval without regard to whether the person recommended resides in the College’s service area.
CCCS reserves the right to change any provision or requirement of this procedure at any time and the change shall become effective immediately.
