Policy Statement

The Board recognizes the authority of local Boards of Education to approve curricula for their institutions. Any board of education or any institution seeking state or federal funding for secondary vocational education programs, for postsecondary certificate programs, or for degree programs shall submit such programs for Board approval. In addition, all postsecondary certificate programs and all degree programs offered at state system community colleges must have the approval of the Board.

Scope

This policy applies to all educational entities within the purview of the Board pursuant to state and federal statute and/or the policy of the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.

Procedures

The System president shall promulgate such procedures as may be needed to implement this policy.
