Terrance McWilliams is Senior Vice President at El Pomar Foundation, located in Colorado Springs. The Foundation’s purpose is to benefit the people of Colorado through grant making in the areas of education, health care, civic and community initiatives, the environment, amateur sports, human services and the arts. In his role, Terrance oversees the Foundation’s military community outreach activities, including implementation and management of innovative programs designed to provide direct services and support to the Military’s Active Duty, Guard and Reserve members and their families. Terrance also supports the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Colorado, as it relates to broader military policy.
Prior to joining the El Pomar Foundation in 2007, Terrance served on active duty in the United States Army for over 30 years, cumulating his career as the Division Command Sergeant Major for the 7th Infantry Division and First Army, Division West and Fort Carson, where he was responsible for the health and wellbeing of over 21,000 soldiers, families and civilian employees.
Terrance currently serves on the board of directors for the Southeast Armed Services YMCA, the Military Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, the Salvation Army, El Paso County, Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center, and the Peak Military Care Network.
He previously served as a board member for the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) based in Colorado Springs, as the advisory board chair at Pikes Peak Community College, as a board member for the American Red Cross – Pikes Peak Chapter, as the board chair for Pikes Peak United Way, as an executive advisory board member for TriWest Healthcare Alliance, and as president of the Pikes Peak Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (PPC-AUSA) and Citizen Soldier Connection.
Terrance has attended numerous military leadership and management schools and holds an Associate of Science degree in Supervisory Leadership from Hawaii Pacific University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio.
