“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Chelsea is currently a student at Red Rocks Community College and the Chair of the State Student Advisory Council. In May 2021, she will be graduating with a double Associates degree! An Associates of Science and Arts, both in Psychology, with hopes, to transfer to Colorado State University where she will continue her goal to make a lasting change in the United States. However, there was a time when she believed that she would not be able to graduate. When she was 16 years old, she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Not only was her life saved, but this is where she discovered her love and passion for the world of psychology. The quote above by Ralph Waldo Emerson is one that she tries to live by every day; her happiness comes from knowing that she is making a difference in her fellow students' lives through the Council and Student Government, as well as continuing to learn how she can change her life. She wants to learn new things and grow every day.
