Credit for Prior Learning

Prior learning is college-equivalent learning acquired through non-traditional schooling, work or other life experiences. These might include skills from military service, job-related training, and volunteer arenas.

Students can demonstrate and earn college credits for prior learning through such methods as nationalized testing, challenge exams, and portfolio examination. Credit earned for prior learning, Advanced Placement, correspondence courses, CLEP and other tested-only credit may not apply. The institution to which you transfer will evaluate these credits according to its own policies.

For more information about how you can gain credit for prior learning, inquire at the CCCS campus you plan to attend.See a Full list of Colleges and Campuses.
