The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is distributing the attached Request for Information (RFI) to lenders to gather relevant information on federal Subsidized Stafford Loans, federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loans and federal PLUS loans. While CCCS colleges will certify loans from any lender, we do convey to students that the lenders on our "Recommended Lender List" have been selected based on their products and services. We invite you and to complete the attached Request for Information Questionnaire from your organization and return it electronically by April 11, 2008.

The Colorado Community College System comprises the state’s largest higher education system serving over 116,000 students annually. CCCS includes 13 community colleges with a total student loan volume of approximately $70,000,000 annually. The majority of our students are independent with financial need. Therefore our Subsidized Stafford Loan volume is over $41,000,000, with an additional Unsubsidized Stafford Loan volume of $27,000,000. PLUS loans comprise only about 2% of our annual loan volume.
