Prerequisites to Apply for Nursing Programs
The following
MUST BE COMPLETED prior to filling out your online application
PN Programs
- ENG 121 English Composition (3 credits)
- BIO 106 Basic Anatomy and Physiology (4 credits) OR BIO 201 Anatomy and Physiology (with lab, 4 credits) and BIO 202 Anatomy and Physiology II (with lab, 4 credits)
- HPR 108 Nutrition (1 credit)
- All Biology (BIO) prerequisites must be completed within 7 years of entry into CCCS nursing programs.
- Nursing prerequisites GPA must be 2.25 or better
ADN Programs
- ENG 121 English Composition (3 credits)
- PSY 235 Human Growth and Development (3 credits)
- BIO 201 Anatomy and Physiology I (with lab, 4 credits)
- BIO 202 Anatomy and Physiology II (with lab, 4 credits)
- BIO 204 Microbiology (with lab, 4 credits)
- All Biology (BIO) prerequisites must be completed within 7 years of entry into CCCS nursing programs.
- Nursing prerequisites GPA must be 2.5 or better
LPN to ADN Programs
- Possession of a valid Colorado LPN license in good standing.
- Completion of the following prerequisite courses which require a GPA of 2.5 or better:
- ENG 121 English Composition (3 credits)
- PSY 235 Human Growth and Development (3 credits)
- BIO 201 Anatomy and Physiology I (with lab, 4 credits)
- BIO 202 Anatomy and Physiology II (with lab, 4 credits)
- BIO 204 Microbiology (with lab, 4 credits)
- The following prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better, BEFORE ENTRY into an ADN Nursing Program.
- MAT 103 Math for Clinical Calculations (3 credits) (Contact program for details regarding this math course prior to taking the course.)
- BIO 216 Pathophysiology (4 credits)
- HPR 108 Nutrition (1 credit)
- All Biology (BIO) prerequisites must be completed within 7 years of entry into CCCS nursing programs.
