The Lowry Campus Serves Many Purposes

In 1993 the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE), which governs the Colorado Community College System (CCCS), was deeded 153 acres and 1 million square feet of building space for educational use in the northeast quadrant of Lowry, known as Lowry Campus. CCCS moved its headquarters and IT offices to the campus in 2002. Academic programs at Lowry Campus include -
  • CCA Solar Energy program,
  • Police Academy,
  • Film & Video,
  • Computer and Science Programs,
  • CCA and CCD Health Sciences programs,
  • and the CCD Dental Clinic, which serves more than 600 patients annually.
Plans for the campus include the development of a large green space in the middle of the campus and renovation of several more buildings. Another ten buildings will be demolished.
